Surprise to you, I suppose, that the curve went way up at the Great


Recession.

I don't think anyone else is surprised.

The surprise is the sharp rise at full employment. I'm surprised you were never taught how it is supposed to work.

Again, conservatives are very supportive of expansion via government financed debt. You are an excellent example of just what I am arguing. It is why I selected a sample post Great Recession. It also rose during the Great Depression and WWII.

But can you point to a doubling of the deficit at this point of the business cycle?
